This job really sucks for me at the moment. I can't stand it. It's getting harder and harder to keep my mouth shut.
Today, before 9:00 am, the Project Manager mouthed off to our CO, who does not have any patience. Why can't civilian contractor employees understand that when a CO directs you to do something, you either better do it or keep your mouth shut? If he's wrong and you shouldn't do what he is telling you, then you keep your mouth shut and come up with a game plan to prove he's wrong.
I have never served in the military, but I'm smart enough to know that when a CO tells you something, you don't give them any lip. What's really crazy is that this PM has served in the Navy. He should know better. ARRGGHHHH!
I believe I am going to be offered a career position with a security firm as a contracts administrator. Although, I hate to leave construction, this project is winding down and the next project is nowhere in site. I could always go get other experience and come back to construction, right?
I'm keeping my fingers crossed and hoping this firm offers some serious cash and then there will be no thinking for me to do.
